>>> New Active Travel project in Central Lancs

A new Cycle Officer has been appointed for the new Out and About project in Chorley and South Ribble in Central Lancs. The project aims to increase physical activity levels among 'hard-to-reach' groups, and will work with the local primary care trust and councils to provide a range of walking and cycling activities.

>>> New bike recycling centre in Luton

Active Bikes, Healthier People has established a new bike recycling centre in central Luton, where local residents can visit and obtain free bike loans. The project is providing 150 bikes for cycle training in 2 local schools during March. Children who successfully pass their National Standards will be offered a free loan bike.
