Mick Bond, Research Manager, Derbyshire County PCT, who has previously made a presentation to the Health and Transport Group has now completed his research on travel to hospitals and which, although mainly concentrating on Hospitals in Derbyshire, does look at some necessary journeys from Derbyshire to hospitals in the Greater Manchester area.
Mick's research shows the need for careful siting of health facilities and the need to ensure that people without access to a car are not socially excluded from healthcare.
